Men will agree with me when I say women talk a lot; we cannot keep quiet. It is difficult for us not to talk about what is happening to us, how we feel, what we want, etc. In short, it is easy for us to be as open books because we like to be heard. However, men tend to be more reserved. If you are like me, who has the soul of a writer, the desire to express yourself runs through your veins. I have always said that I communicate better by writing than by speaking. I love to sit down to write my thoughts. I love to build reflections or sit down to write about a particular topic.

Over the years, I have learned to restrain myself because you cannot always say what you think or feel; we must pass our words, whether written or spoken, through a filter. We are our editors. Your words say a lot about who you are and the condition of your heart and mind. Words can uplift or destroy someone; that is why I have created awareness of how powerful words are. I always try to think about how the receiver would take my words, and I try to be careful not to hurt anyone with what I say or write. Well, a word, whether written or spoken, has a lot of weight; it can destroy someone or uplift them. Although I am my editor, that does not mean what I write does not remain genuine and sincere. It means that maybe I lowered the intensity or changed the way of said something. In the end, I end up saying what I wanted, but with another tone, in another way, I look for a way around it. Not everyone is like that; some people say everything they think without a filter, and I respect that. Each one uses their technique, but for me, my words must reach everyone and make them reconsider their actions without hurting them.

I always try to be careful and show myself as I am, with all my flaws and weaknesses, because I want my readers to be able to identify with me. I try as much as possible to be transparent in my writings without the need to appear as someone I am not. Perhaps because of this desire to be genuine, it is difficult for me to understand this new modality that no matter how you feel or how bad you are, you always have to say, I am in Victory. Sorry, but if something is wrong, it is wrong. I can't cover the sky with one hand and pretend to be something different. I would be a hypocrite if I only shared when I feel good and not when I feel bad.

We have fallen into hypocrisy that does not help anyone because if everything is fine, you are certifying that you do not need help, and in most cases, you are dying inside. You have no idea how many blessings you are depriving yourself of just because it seems that everything is peaches and cream. Perhaps, the help to your problem is right in front of you, but since everything is perfect, you do not open the door to allow the aid to arrive. The worst is that if you don't, they tell you you don't have faith. What a big mistake, because faith is not denying the problem but seeing beyond it. Faith is having the certainty of what is expected, and the conviction of what is not seen. Having faith is not denying your circumstances; it is acknowledging that even in the middle of the trial, God will glorify himself. You should remember that even in the middle of a bad situation, God will bless you. That is the root of your testimony. If there is no process, there is no testimony. God uses what was supposed to destroy us to bless our lives.

How many times have they told me to say I am well even if I'm not okay? Too many. It always bothers me because I don't have to lie so that in the eyes of others, they see me as the holiest. I always say I am sick but confident that God will heal me. With pain but confidence that He is bigger than any circumstance. Why do I have to deny my process just to satisfy others? If everyone knows my struggles, when God performs the miracle, His glory will be greater because those who saw me suffer will see His blessing over my life. But if I say I'm fine all the time, when God does a miracle, it will not have the same impact on others.
